The Arrabbiata sauce is a condiment typical of Lazio, especially popular in the city of Rome, but now widespread and appreciated all over the world.
The name comes from the Italian adjective that indicates an angry person: this is for the abundant amount of chilli pepper in the sauce that can make the cheeks of those who eat it blush.
Simple and tasty, the Arrabbiata sauce is made with very few ingredients of Italian origin (tomato, onions, chilli, extra virgin olive oil, carrots, salt, sugar and garlic) and it is used mainly to dress pasta.
The Arrabbiata sauce is mainly used as a condiment for pasta, in particular for penne. Even for those who have little time available, just heat the sauce in a pan and dip pasta into it to make it flavour. It is also a great condiment for meat dishes.
How to store it: : store at room temperature, away from heat sources. After opening, keep refrigerated and use within 3 days.
