Tradition has it that the Cardinal of Milan, on a visit to the Sanctuary of the Madonna di Saronno, received a gift of pastries made from sugar, egg whites, and almonds.

Since then, the fame of this delicious sweet has spread throughout the world.

The Chiostro di Saronno, located in the center of the village, is an ancient Franciscan cloister and headquarters of the company, as well as the place where the prestigious recipes based on genuine ingredients for quality products are kept. Each amaretto is individually wrapped in colored tissue paper.
