The Mortadella Bologna PGI is a cooked sausage made exclusively with pork, with an unmistakable color and aroma.

Its origins are thought to date back to the Middle Ages, or even to Etruscan or Roman times.

Although it is known as a rather fatty product, in this case the selection of top-quality meats, together with processing at controlled temperatures, has allowed for a reduction in the amount of fat.

The unmistakable aroma of Mortadella Bologna PGI comes from the combination of carefully selected meats (shoulder and minced meat) and the skilful combination of spices and natural aromas, a unique and inimitable mix.

The most classic way to enjoy mortadella is Mortadella di Bologna PGI it is certainly delicious sliced in a sandwich or diced as a tasty appetizer, but its versatility allows it to be used in various appetizing and more elaborate recipes, such as mortadella mousse, filling for savory pies or as a wrapper for delicious stuffed dumplings.
