Parmigiano Reggiano PDO 36 months is produced in a mountain dairy: characterized by an intense aroma, it is grainy and crumbly, making it ideal for grating. It is also suitable for those who are lactose intolerant and for children, due to its high digestibility.

It has an intense straw yellow color, with numerous visible tyrosine crystals that make it highly crumbly.

It has a nutty aroma and a savory, slightly spicy flavor with hints of nutmeg.

Branded by the Consortium of Parmigiano Reggiano, is a product PDO i.e. Protected Designation of Origin. This means that it is produced today as it was eight centuries ago, using only essential and genuine ingredients: the prized milk of the typical area, fire and rennet, with the good old methods, art and wisdom of the cheese maker.

Thanks to its remarkable versatility, Parmigiano Reggiano is an irreplaceable ingredient in good Italian cuisine. Grated, it has always been the ideal condiment for pasta, rice, and soups. But this Parmigiano Reggiano it is also excellent on its own.

Perfect with full-bodied red wines and sweet white wines and meditation wines. Try it with honey and it goes perfectly with Traditional Balsamic Vinegar of Modena or Reggio Emilia.
