Parmigiano Reggiano DOP is the best known and most imitated cheese in the world; it is truly a unique product, made today as it was eight centuries ago.

It is a hard cheese that ages slowly and was discovered by Benedictine monks in the 13th century. Since then, little has changed: the same careful artisanal processing methods are still used, along with the same three unique ingredients: fresh cow's milk, salt, and rennet.

The Consortium of Organic Parmigiano Reggiano was established in Parma, the birthplace of Parmigiano, making it even more noble because it is made exclusively from organic milk.

The organic production regulations protect and preserve the welfare of the animals: the cows are raised outdoors and fed on grass, hay, and organic feed prepared according to the principles of homeopathic medicine and free from herbicides, fertilizers, pesticides, and GMOs.

This guarantees that the Parmigiano produced is free from potentially harmful substances and offers a more authentic taste and greater variety of flavors.

Free-range cows produce better milk, which means that the cheese will also be better.
