This organically grown Parmigiano Reggiano PDO is a natural product that respects the environment and animals. Its processing is eco-friendly, since only natural products (milk, salt and rennet) are used without adding preservatives. The processing takes place in boilers and in containers specially reserved for biological transformation and therefore separated from other production processes.
What differentiates a piece of Parmigiano Reggiano from a piece of BIO Parmigiano Reggiano? There are many characteristics which make a product different from the other: the first of all is the breeding and therefore the welfare of the animals, which are left to graze in free, open spaces and cared for following the principles of homeopathic medicine; the animals are fed only with untreated fodder, therefore chemical fertilizers and herbs with pesticides are avoided.
The processing techniques and the use of carefully selected raw materials make the products of the BIO line valuable, healthy and genuine.
Thanks to its remarkable versatility, Parmigiano Reggiano is an essential ingredient of good Italian cuisine. If grated, it has always been used as the ideal condiment for pasta, rice and soups. However, Parmigiano Reggiano is excellent even if tasted alone, for the delicacy of the flavour.
A classic combination is that with pears, although many have yet to discover the equally harmonious combination of Parmigiano Reggiano with fruit jams, honey, nuts and Traditional Balsamic Vinegar.

How to store it: Parmigiano Reggiano, shipped in portions obtained directly from cutting the whole wheel, once extracted from the vacuum has to be kept wrapped in cling film and placed in the lower area of the domestic refrigerator, at a temperature between + 4 ° / + 8° C. The surface of the rind has to be kept clean in order to avoid the creation of mold.
